Transportation

To Zurich

Zurich International Airport is a 15 minute train ride from Zurich central station (Zurich Hauptbahnhof, Zurich HB). Trains leave directly from the airport every few minutes. Online timetables and ticketing are available at the Swiss Railway (SBB) website.

Technopark Zurich is easy to reach by public transportation from the main station and other locations in the city. Detailed directions are downloadable and available at the Technopark website. Online timetables for public transportation are available on the Zurich public transportation (ZVV) website. 

Zurich taxis are available at the airport, in front of the main station, and at numerous other locations in town. The taxi fare between Technopark and Zurich airport is about CHF 55 (€ 45). To call a taxi, we recommend:

To Aarau

Getting to Aarau from the airport takes between 45 and 55 minutes, depending on whether you have a direct train or whether need to change at Zurich central station. Information about the connections between Zurich airport, Zurich, and Aarau is available at the Swiss Railway website. 

The Kantonsspital in Aarau is a 15 minute walk from the station. The route will be marked, and a map is available for download. A map of the hospital is also available. The Educational Day portion of the meeting will take place in building 25.

Important: please note that train and tram tickets cannot be purchased on board, but must be purchased online, at a ticket counter, or from ticket machines at the stations and tram stops. Most ticket machines accept various types of bank cards, coins, and bills. Travel on public transportation without a valid ticket is subject to a fine of CHF 100.
